Action Research Course for Teachers - (TEI)

This project was implemented as part of the Teacher Excellence Initiative (TEI), in collaboration with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, with support from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), and implemented by EDC and the American University of Beirut (AUB), with the digital design and development led by Nahdet Misr Publishing Group.

The initiative aims to empower faculty members at Faculties of Education in Egyptian universities to enhance their skills in conducting action research and applying its principles to improve teaching practices. The original in-person training was transformed into a fully interactive digital learning experience, accessible through a dedicated learning platform.

Project Features

Nahdet Misr was responsible for the end-to-end digital transformation of the training, which included:

  • Restructuring lectures into concise, topic-focused videos.
  • Designing interactive videos and digital activities that simulate real training experiences.
  • Developing practical online exercises that link theory with classroom practice.
  • Creating pre- and post-assessments to measure participants’ progress.
  • Implementing a smart digital certification system, awarding certificates upon course completion.

Learning Management System (LMS)

  • A dedicated digital platform was designed and developed to host the course under the TEI umbrella, offering an intuitive, user-friendly interface that allows participants to navigate freely, monitor their progress, and engage with content seamlessly across multiple devices.
  • The platform ensures a secure, flexible, and self-paced learning experience, supporting the professional development of university educators and advancing teaching quality across Egypt’s higher education institutions.
